Cheng Zhang is a Professor in School of Optical and Electronic Information & Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He received his bachelor degree in Electrical Science and Technology from Shandong University in 2010, and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2016. From 2016 to 2019, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher in National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). He joined HUST in 2020, where he currently leads a research team working on cutting-edge projects aimed at the exploitation of nanophotonic materials, devices and fabrication techniques for novel information, sensing and energy harvesting applications.
